The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) is the government authority responsible for setting national health policy and strategy in the State of Qatar. MOPH oversees the country’s healthcare system, including primary, secondary, and tertiary care, and works in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation, the Primary Health Care Corporation, and the private sector to deliver high-quality, accessible healthcare services. The Ministry’s mandate includes public health protection, disease prevention, health emergency preparedness, licensing and regulation of healthcare professionals and facilities, food safety, and health financing, guided by the National Health Strategy and aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.
